1. About Toadflax-Pack

The music in Toadflax-Pack are provided to help chance gatherings of LotRO musicians to play together.

The files are named with the original name of the tune and the number of parts in the arrangement. In some cases there are several numbers (like "It Dont Mean A Thing 3 2.abc"), meaning there is an option to viably play the tune with any of these numbers of musicians.

Toadflax-Pack will be updated when I collect new stuff. Packs will be numbered, to update install the latest one and delete any obsolete versions.

Please DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE OR PART NAMES as this will make it difficult for people to compare songbooks and so ruin the whole idea behind the pack.

Finally I ask that you do not change the names of the transcriber in the music files.

Enjoy!
Toadflax Nosely on Laurelin (and also Belegaer & Crickhollow) - travelling on Landroval as Cymbalaria Nosely.

1. Files containing multiple play options

Starting from V002, new additions have been tagged with parts setups for use with the new SongbookBB 0.94 or higher. Get SongbookBB from linawillow.org.

Otherwise, if a file contains options, there are guidelines in the part names. Two examples:

- "Okie From Muskogie 5 1.abc"
This one contains 6 parts and as you can tell from the filename there are two intended play styles with 5 and 1 parts respectively. One part name ends with SOLO. That is the one to play as a 1-part. For 5 part play, choose the other one.

- Melodie au Crepuscule 4 3.abc
In this one, the parts not to omit in 3-part play have their part names ending with a '*', e.g. "Flute*".

*****
Version 002 - released March 25, 2015
-New in this version:
Blueberry Hill in a solo and an 8-part version. There are lyrics (by me) about the weekly Yard Party at the Bird and Baby on Laurelin (Thursdays starting at 19:30 UK time). These lyrics may be found here:
http://www.brambleburygazette.com/art-s-corner-1/song-yardpartythrill

Feel free to sing this if you like, I'm only happy to see the Yard Party promoted, it's my favourite recurring event.

- otherwise contains exactly the same music as V001

*****
Version 001 - released August 19, 2014
- Several 1 to 5 part tunes made or played by the great Django Reinhardt.
- Okie From Muskogie arranged for 5 parts or solo lute. Lyrics which go well to sing with this song can be found at http://laurelinarchives.org/node/24361 (Oldfurlong is a Shire Homestead in English-language versions of the LotRO client)
